In the collision repair industry,being able to find a tool that helps effectively monitor and manage overall workload, and optimize efficiency is invaluable. Since November 2017, LaMettry’s Collision has been utilizing the OnBoard Scheduler platform as an essential tool towards gaining clearer visibility and control into our day-to-day vehicle repair scheduling.

OnBoard Scheduler has allowed us the ability to gain significantly improved control of the repair scheduling process primarily through the use of its “Calendar View”. This functionality allows us to organize and visually display an entire shops worth of repair order information in one concise and highly customizable view. The best part is that the information being utilizedis gathered directly fromour management system and requires almost no additional effort to make useable. The end result being that repair order scheduling information is readily provided to staff in a format that’s easy to read and reference at a glance.

Through the use of OnBoard Scheduler our staff is constantly aware of work that is coming in and going out each day, week, and month. The system allows for us to establish in depth goals and thresholds pertaining torepair orders, that in turn, protect us from both under-scheduling and overscheduling work. Several of our shops reportedan increase in sales as a result of more efficient scheduling, and nearly all shops reported that their workload had become significantly more manageable once they had clearer visibility into the repair orders that were coming in/out each day.

We were struggling with staying organized and managing our scheduling, since we have started using the OnBoard Scheduler it has helped our shop as a whole to stay informed.

We started out simple and used it primarily for scheduling estimate and repair appointments but quickly added more calendars such as DFR, Vacation, Employee Unavailable and ICAR. We added a larger monitor in our body shop so that the techs and repair planners can see what is coming in and what they have going through DFR to help them organize their day better.

We have plans in the near future to add a monitor in the paint shop and continue to utilize the scheduler to help manage the flow of our APS processes.

We look forward to the continued growth with OnBoard scheduler and how it will help our communication not only within our organization but our sublet vendors as well. More

If there is one thing I know, scheduling has always been one of the bigger challenges for us. The Onboard Scheduler comes from two guys (Troy and Mike) who have spent the majority of their working lives in and around body shops and so they know and understand this challenge. What is great about the Onboard Scheduler is the ability to use multiple calendars to track and schedule anything from vehicle drop off to sublet work by RO.

We can set up different calendars to help managers track and plan for all the small details we have to do each day and then bring them all together for a clearer overall picture of what is happening and what needs to take place each by day, week or month.For example you have a vehicle scheduled in and you know that the windshield needs to be removed before repairs can begin. You can schedule windshield removal using the “glass removal” calendar weeks in advance. Or if after discovery you find that an alignment needs to be done, you just ad that calendar to that RO. This helps remind the person responsible for calling the glass company and scheduling it, to make the call.

But this software also gives you the ability to set some limits so you don’t get in trouble and over book a particular day. Its easy then to click and drag a windshield install scheduled for that RO# to a different day if need be. Individuals with responsibilities to keep track of vehicles leaving, can focus on just a few calendars that are important to their role.

The calendars are color coded for easy recognition, warnings or triggers can be set, and data from our CCC management system is pumped into the Onboard Scheduler software for each RO.

I like the way anyone can take the curser and hover over a particular calendar RO and see all the information about that job. You can set the ways you look at the data for each calendar based on count or dollars. Some things you need to understand in dollars but others you want a count. And it gives you the ability to set limits and goals. You also are able to look at data for one day at a time or by the week or month. Troy and Mike keep adding new features to the software all the time, which continue to make it more valuable and with pricing that is very affordable for even small shops.

Upcoming texting through the software to the customer will help with the management process. Overall I have to say it is nice to find a helpful software package that is not priced in the $200 – $900 range.

Spradley Barr Collision Center

To Whom It May Concern; My name is Robby Bartlett and I am the Manager of Spradley Barr Collision Center in Cheyenne Wyoming. Spradley Barr has been using Onboard Scheduler since March 2017. With scheduling being one of the biggest challenges inside of a collision center, we are excited about and grateful for Onboard Scheduler. It’s ease of use and overall functionality, make it one of the best tools in our shop. The Cheyenne area was hit with a massive hail storm in 2017 and Onboard Scheduler allowed us to increase production and cycle time, all while not over scheduling and therefore, increasing customer satisfaction.
Our ability to set up multiple calendars, specific to our needs, and then allow access to those calendars by all users in the body shop, increases communication and allows management to track current business, plan for future business and provides a very clear and detailed picture of the production in the shop, while pinpointing areas that need improvement. An additional feature, is that we can link with our sublet vendors, such as The Ding Guy in Cheyenne, Wy., through Onboard Scheduler, which saves both sides valuable time because coordinating both business schedules is extremely clear and easy. Our sublet vendors can plan in advance to be sure that they have enough man power and there are no surprises. Once again, communication is much improved, which allows both sides to meet or exceed customer expectations.
As Troy Fallows and Mike Johnson continue to add new features to the software, it increases the value of this software while keeping the cost to body shops affordable. Overall, we have been waiting for a product such as this, with its ease of use, many features and affordable price. More
